Mia, a snow rabbit beastkin, is discarded by an ex-husband who blames her for infertility. She then marries Dominic, a lion prince surrounded by rumors that he cannot father children, and soon discovers she is carrying twins. But that miracle quickly turns into disaster when Queen Cassandra, the king’s second wife, frames her for adultery. The truth is far uglier than the rumor: her ex-husband is the truly infertile one, and Dominic’s supposed barrenness was carefully engineered through years of poisoning so the queen’s biological son could take the throne. When everything is exposed, the guilty are brought down, and Dominic admits his love for Mia has been there for years. In the end, they stay together with their children and the family they always wanted.
