Episode 31
At the instant of her birth, something impossible happens: her shadow comes alive. It tears free, becomes a black, formless creature, and devours every shadow around it in the birthing chamber. The maids scream and run, but not fast enough—their shadows are swallowed too. When the High Priest rushes in and drives his staff against her forehead, the raging darkness is forced back inside her. In terror, the room erupts: “She’s cursed!” “Kill her before she destroys us all!”
