Scientist Laura Jones never imagines the dragon she’s studying is the legendary Nidhogg. Treating him like an ordinary dragonkin, she even teaches him how to win hearts—only for Nidhogg to take it as a marriage proposal.
The truth sends Laura fleeing, but Nidhogg takes her deep into the mountains, where long-buried memories finally come back. Beneath the terrifying dragon is the boy who once rescued her and waited years for her.
From a simple research project, their story veers into a strange and tender love affair, with confusion, a mighty dragon, and one adorable dragon baby.
