Thrud gave everything to hold the Aesir together after the gods’ war—and even brought Alviss back from stone, crowning him as one of her own. She believed loyalty would repay sacrifice. Instead, she walks back injured to find him in Levia’s arms, while Levia wears her crown and marriage band. Alviss defends her, claiming Levia nursed him through the years he was stone and has already been made a divine envoy. Then Levia drops the band on purpose, pushing Thrud past her limit. In one furious blow, Thrud strips Levia of her rank and casts her out of the Aesir.
